The Erasmus Centennial is organising all activities related to the 100th birthday of the Erasmus University in 2013-2014. The theme is IMPACT!
100 years ago the university was established as the ‘Netherlands School of Commerce’. Nowadays the Erasmus University has become a place of knowledge, international stature and ambitions.
Impact on science. Impact on human and society. It is embedded in our DNA, small wonder in a world port city like Rotterdam. Merchants and business men once established the graduate school; the campus nowadays has been an international classroom with students and researchers from all over the world.
Impact on the city from which we have come. Impact on generations of students and graduates. Impact on the local and global society. Erasmus4Rotterdam was founded to put this impact into practice. It facilitates a community service platform, to make volunteering projects available to every EUR-student and employee and can be visited at www.erasmus4rotterdam.nl
